The rated output of the built Switched Reluctance Motor with 16 stator poles and 12 rotor teeth is 26 kW at 1500 rpm. In comparison with up to now produced Switched Reluctance Motors of equal motor size, the rated output could be increased to about 150%. The efficiency of the new drive system regarding dynamics, speed control and position control is proved with measuring results.
